Get wallpaper in the 2 or 3 colors you want. Using pre-mixed paste and a brush, prepaste the wall you will work with first. Tear the wallpaper into rough 1 to 1.5 square foot irregular pieces and put on wall. The irregularity of the pattern and the tear marks on the paper will make it look like stone.
