I would go with dark red (Burgundy),and golds..
a pretty glass cut candle sconce (Pier one) for a center piece.

Don't be afraid of red. Red rose heads with some white and rose blossoms arranged as a meandering runner with crystal candlesticks poking up would work well and would be very elegant accent to your gold and cream color scheme.
It really depends on your china pattern.
