What color furniture set would match a cream colored carpet, black end tables and a black flat screen tv?

I am moving with my fience and we are haing trouble picking out a color and style furnature to go with our end tables and television. The television is a flat screen 73' mitsubsishi, the end tables are black mushroom tables, the t.v is black as well. The carpet is Cream colored. I was thinking black and brown, but i cant figure out what shade of brown.
