What's the healthiest to put on potatoes? Table salt, Seasoned Salt, Margarine, Butter, or Sour Cream?

Which one is the most healthy even though they are all bad? What's the healthiest to put on potatoes? Table salt, Seasoned Salt, Margarine, Butter, or Sour Cream?
try using sea salt, chives, and a tiny bit of real butter.... just a little tiny bit to give it a little creamy texture. What's the healthiest to put on potatoes? Table salt, Seasoned Salt, Margarine, Butter, or Sour Cream?
None of these are really that bad for you when used in moderation. What causes people to become unhealthy is when they are consumed excessively. If you are eating healthy food that is is not too processed and you add a little bit of something that contains salt or saturated fat, overall, it's still good for you. If you decide to eat a baked potato with the nutrient-rich skin on it, you can put a little sour cream or cheese on it and that's not so bad. If you decide you would rather eat french fries and turn them into chili-cheese fries, that is bad for you. While everything you mentioned above has the potential to be ';bad'; if consumed in excess, they really aren't bad in moderation if everything else a person eats is healthy. If a person does some moderate exercise a few days out of every week, thier cardiovascular system will be in better shape and this will make them even more tolerant of a moderate amount of salt and fat.
Salt is by far the healthiest; although too much sodium is bad for you, it has no fat or calories and makes the food taste much better. I'm not a big fan of seasoned salt, but if that's your thing, go for it.

Margarine is worse for you than butter in many cases because it's loaded with trans fat; butter on the other hand is higher in saturated fats and calories. Sour cream may be the worst out of all of them, unless you go with a fat free variety.
Healthy American adults should eat less than 2,300 milligrams of sodium a day. This is about 1 teaspoon of sodium chloride (salt). To illustrate, the following are sources of sodium in the diet.

1/4 teaspoon salt = 575 mg sodium

1/2 teaspoon salt = 1,150 mg sodium

3/4 teaspoon salt = 1,725 mg sodium

1 teaspoon salt = 2,300 mg sodium

Other dry seasonings add no calories or extras and so seasoned salt statistics would be a much tastier option while the numbers would stay the same

So regarding other toppings for your potato:

---1, 1/2 pound potato without skin, plain is 121 calories

---1, 1/2 pound potato without skin, WITH butter is 156 calories including 36 calories of extras (solid fats, added sugars, or alcohol)

---I know you didn't ask but 1, 1/2 pound potato without skin, WITH margarine type reduced calorie spread has 138 calories with no oils or extras

---1, 1/2 pound potato without skin, WITH tub margarine is 154 calories with no extras but has 1 tsp of oil which your body needs anyway

---1, 1/2 pound potato without skin, WITH sour cream is 182 calories including 54 calories of extras
a little salt goes a long way. The more salt you put, the worse it is for your health, PLUS more salt means you mask the taste of the potatoes. I personally like tasting the potatoes.

Actually, pepper is probably more healthy for you also. But it's not mentioned in your choices.
Calorie wise- salts.

Blood pressure wise- Butter in moderation.
My husband and i did a diet called body for life and he recommended scottage cheese. I though it would be nasty but its actually delicious!
We use Mrs. Dash which is a salt free seasoning...I love all the different flavors of these and they really taste good.

My guess to your question would be seasoned salt...or a fat free or light sour cream.
Salt on good potatoes should be tasty enough :)
Put season salt on it very lightly.
Butter. Even flies won't eat Margarine. And I don't trust cream that's gone sour.
Use Sea salt in place of Table salt , much better for you !
MRS DASH SEASONING DOESNT HAVE SALT.
BUTTER BUDS. all the flavor, and hardly any fat.
fat-free sour cream, fat-free ';I Can't Believe it's not Butter'; spray a little salt %26amp; some pepper
